FRANK FOSTER "Here Comes Frank Foster" Blue Note 5034, 10", P, RVG, FR, Mono Vinyl

This is the 1954, first edition, Frame Cover, Ten-inch, "RVG" etched (tiny font), Flat Rim, P-pressing of FRANK FOSTER's "Here Comes Frank Foster" on the "767 Lexington Ave" labels of Blue Note BLP 5043. Musicians include Percy Heath, Kenny Clarke, Gildo Mahones, Frank Foster, Benny Powell.

FLAT RIM VINYL plays with low to medium level surface noise (i.e, static, ?? or ????,relative to the volume of the music/instruments), with pops and ticks. Crackle present. Some loud pops and ticks. Ensemble Instrumental sections are dynamic and strong with clean transients and full tone. Surface has many marks or scuffs, handful feelable. Good gloss. The Deep Groove "767 Lexington Ave" labels are worn with spindle marks. See photos.

FRAME COVER is in good condition, some tape, one torn area; corners worn. Top seam and spine worn, lower seam taped end to end. Back jacket shows big stain, normal wear. Please see photos.

This LP was play-tested on a high-end system consisting of Kuzma Stogi Stabi turntable, Shindo Allegro preamplifier, Shindo Haut Brion amplifier, Devore Fidelity O/93 loudspeakers. RECORD CLEANED ON VPI 16.5.
