Description
THIS 1957 (61 YEAR OLD) RECORD AND BLACK (W-894) LABEL IS IN NM- CONDITION. COLORS ARE NICE AND BRIGHT. SPINDLE HOLE SHOWS VERY LITTLE PLAY. FRONT AND BACK OF COVER AND CORNERS ARE IN NM CONDITION (GREAT FOR FRAMING). THERE IS A 6" SEAM SPLIT ON TOP SIDE AND SPINE IS SPLIT END TO END. I THINK IT COULD BE GLUED AND LOOK GREAT BUT I WILL LEAVE THAT TO THE NEW OWNER. IF IT WERE NOT FOR THE SPLITS IN THE COVER, THIS RECORD WOULD BE NM! NOT MANY LIKE THIS AROUND.
I took the record out and looked at it under very bright light. It is not perfect, and at it's age, I don't think many of them are much better. There is a mark here and there but no long scratch marks or anything near that. When played, it is quiet with no hiss and very little background noise to speak of. You will hear an occasional pop or click but nothing, as far as I am concerned, that takes away from the experience of listening to this great early LP.
