Description

This is the rare original 1946 release of Frank Sinatra Conducts the Music of Alex Wilder, on Columbia 12” 78rpm 3-record set M-637. Reissued later on different LPs, but this is the original, and quite rare. All three discs are just beautiful and play perfectly. The second disc, with sides 3 and 4, has a touch more wear than the other two, with a bit more scuffing an signs of use but still just beautiful. The other two are closer to NM and simply stunning. All three sound amazing. The cover is also in astonishingly clean shape, wjth a perfectly intact spine, strong binding, and only the tiniest wear on the edges and corners, but really not much at all. You absolutely NEVER see copies in this condition. Truly the best copy I have ever come across. And a rare setting for young Sinatra, conducting a set of modern classical compositions, really unlike what you expect from the crooner. The pieces are:
