Description

Hi, this auction is for a record that was a gift to Frank Sinatra from the Children of Brazil that was later given to Augie Speth.  Augie Speth was involved with concessions for major venues and knew Mr. Sinatra. I believe he was somehow involved with Budweiser distribution but I'm not sure. Mr. Speth was also an original team owner for an American Basketball Association team in 1967. 
The record plays at 33-1/3 and side one is basically a marching band. Side 2 is a marching band with children singing in Spanish. Sinatra is not on either side of the record. The record has custom engraved brass labels on each side. The brass labels do not line up exactly so I had to elevate the record to hear the music.  One side reads :   BRAZIL CHILDS HMYN  Guilherme De Almeida Waldemar Roberto BRAZIL 1963 It also has "Estados Unidos Do Brazil" Emblem on the top.
The other side reads: Our Dear Uncle Sinatra God Bless You Children of Brazil 1963
The record comes in a custom inlayed box with Brazil decorated in different woods on top. The bottom of the box has a layer of green felt. The inside of the box is blue velvet and is made to contour with the shape of the record. The box is missing the clasp that locks the lid to the base. The box is well made and heavy.
I have no idea if Mr. Sinatra did any philanthropic work in Brazil but somebody there went to great lengths to thank him. Your guess is as good as mine as to what this record is.  
I have also listed approximately 30 still sealed Frank Sinatra , Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. LP's. They all appear like they were purchased yesterday.
