Over the last 30 years I’ve seen about two dozen copies of this rare and classic SINATRA LP oddball…
This is by far the cleanest copy I have ever seen.
I don’t believe this copy was ever played (if ever handled at all).
I pictured both sides of the jacket/LP and both labels (even though there really isn’t much difference).
There are a few different paste-on cover slick variations for this LP:
This is the rarest edition with the “Eastern Electronics Distributors” ad on it.
Like every other copy, this has a cover slick on either side that is pasted on to a jacket.
And like most copies, the jacket the slicks were pasted on are pretty junky.
The down-side for this particular jacket is that the spine is split.
What is interesting is that the cover slicks are clean but the glue that was used to stick ’em onto the jacket stained the thin slicks.
You can see the glue (as brownish lines) thru the cover slicks and it sorta gives the illusion that the cover is dirty… but it’s not.
The LP itself has
- perfect, clean deep-groove labels
- super-thick vinyl
- "247 17A/B", "AUDIOMATRIX" and "4/13/63" in the LPs dead wax
Strictly due to the original quality of the vinyl used, I have to grade the LP as EX
(Although in reality, it looked like this the day it was pressed and should grade more like NM- !)
