THIS IS A LACQUER COATED ALUMINUM DISC (often called an acetate )
Starts with just a couple words from the very end of a Tony Martin # then the Chorus sings The Way You Look Tonight into the orchestras dramatic (and exciting) lead in into Sinatra singing Ol' Man' River
Lena Horne side is numbered 27147 & dated 4/24/46 scenes 2436/2337/2435
This side is divided into 3 cuts.
The 1st cut opens with a piano cue into a female duet (w/ Eddy Duchin?) doing just a few bars of Lovely to look At Then the Chorus sings Smoke Gets in Your Eyes.
The 2nd cut also opens with a piano cue into LENA HORNE singing Bill which was edited from the movie.
The space in between the 2nd & 3rd cut has what I believe is a manufacturing defect and you need to give it a little push to get it to go into the 3rd cut. The 3rd cut is about 1 minute of the Wilde Twins singing She didn't Say Yes. (She didn't Say No)
CONDITION- I'd give it a solid VG there is background sound but well under the music. There are light surface lines but no scratches that can be felt. The space before the last cut on the Lena Horne side in the blank space after Lena's # has what I believe is a manufacturing defect and (on my player) you need to give it a little push to get it to go into the 3rd cut. There was a sticker at the bottom of the Sinatra side Label which was removed and left its mark.
PLEASE NOTE: I MANAGED TO OBTAIN THE ACETATES OF THE ENTIRE MOVIE AND I WILL BE LISTING THEM ALL INCLUDING OTHER RARE ACETATES PLUS SOME FRANK SINATRA COLLECTABLES. I wanted to hold on to this stuff forever but my grandchildren want a week in disneyland .
