Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. ARTIST: Frank Sinatra TITLE: "The Voice of Frank Sinatra" LABEL: Columbia Records (CL 6001) VINYL MONO CONDITION: JACKET - EX(Jacket has very light age wear and a half-inch split at bottom opening; NOTE: I have left the price sticker in place rather than risk damage to the jacket - Please see actual album photos) VINYL - Excellent(Vinyl has a few very light scuff marks - Graded using special daylight balanced spotlight)
SPECIAL FEATURES: Beautiful and rare original Columbia Records Jazz Vocal album called "The Voice of Frank Sinatra", THIS IS THE FIRST of Columbia's "revolutionary" 10" LPs, designed to replace the vintage 78s. SPECIAL NOTE: This is the extremely rare thick cardboard blue jacket, with opening on the right side. It was "Made in USA" although some sources describe this as a Canadian jacket. Back cover is filled with extensive liner notes (this is the first album to take advantage of the space on the back of the jacket to inform the listener about the artist and songs). Labels are glowing and unmarked (this is the most beautiful copy of this album I've ever seen). NOTE: we have left the price sticker in place to avoid damaging the jacket! Don't miss this classic.

The Voice of Frank Sinatra illustrated Sinatra’s ease of blurring the lines, molding and defining himself as a pop singer who appreciated the dramatic and romantic subtleties that could result from blending serious music with pop. As if by magic, every element coalesced to create a series of soft, enticing performances that beckoned one to stop, listen and feel. For these recordings, Sinatra stretched beyond his best, infusing the vocals with such tender intimacy that George T. Simon of Metronome magazine called The Voice of Frank Sinatra, “The greatest exhibition of completely convincing crooning ever put into a collection.”

SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
