Description
Up for auction is a very clean copy of the rare Frank Zappa album "Hot Rats" original on Bizarre Records (RS6356) in 1969. This is a guaranteed, original first U.S. pressing, not a reissue or import. Original gatefold cover, original paper inner sleeve, original blue Bizzare labels. Original "un-mixed" version Highly sought-after version.

Gatefold cover is in FABULOUS condition with very few signs of previous handling or wear. Front graphics are colorful and clean. Not a bit of rub to black lettering and white banners (see photo). No ringwear, which is so common for this type of cover--normally prone to wear. Back cover looks clean with only a light hint of ringwear at top and bottom middle (see photo). Corners are sharp. Spine is clean, lettering clean. Seams are strong, no splits. Interior of gatefold is very clean and attractive with only a small hint of rub, hardly noticeable. Found some light edgewear along top seam only (nothing serious) Grade the cover Near Mint-
Vinyl is in superb condition, with few, if any, signs of previous signs of handling or play. Surfaces are very shiny and new looking. Grade the vinyl: Side One NM Side Two NM- Labels are NM- to NM. Beautiful rich blue coloring. One spider line from spindle hole otherwise nice. Original inner sleeve fits tightly on the record, not loose from repeated handling. Very well-preserved and super clean.
PLAY TESTED: EXC+++ (MY BEST RATING) No surface noise.
Hard to find a nicer copy.
