FRANK ZAPPA “Joe’s Garage Act I” 1979 SRZ-1-1603 Gatefold Cover Ex Vinyl EX.

Nice 43+ year old copy, a PRC pressing on Zappa Records. The vinyl is shiny with a few small marks, the gatefold cover has some shelf and ring wear, a corner ding, a couple of small creases, but it is intact with no losses. Inside there is a glossy four color paper insert with lyrics. The original inner sleeve is generic white paper with no seam splits.

Frank Zappa’s Rock Opera opus. Joe is young man who starts a band in his garage, suffice to say shit happens to Joe… The story is narrated by the “Central Scrutinizer” who represents government supremacy, overreach, and censorship. Zappa takes on a whole lot to issues in his inimitable way. Here’s where you can find “Catholic Girls” and “Crew Slut”. Over time, Joe’s Garage has been hailed as a creative peak for Zappa.
