Stereo 1st UK pressings of this LP are incredibly rare. In 1968, the few copies of this LP that were sold, were mainly in Mono because Stereo players in the UK were still not widespread. To get a stereo version, you usually had to order these rather than get them from a retailer. Most people did not bother and therefore settled for a mono version. Hardly any stereo copies of this original 1st pressing LP sold in the UK making it one of Zappa's rarest UK pressings.
Zappa fans/collectors know just how rare this LP is and usually, if you can find a copy, it has invariably been played to death. This one is in fabulous condition. It's now 40 years old and you will struggle to find a better copy of this very rare LP.
This is the rarest of the rare - as those knowledable about stamper numbers know, 1G is one of the very first pressing off the presses and comes from the first generation 'mother' metal tapes (A1/B1) - making the sound reproduction the best available.
Cover: The laminated gatefold Garrod & Lofthouse wide-spine cover is Near Mint. Absolutely stunning - these covers hardly ever survive in such fantastic condition. The colours are vibrant and the laminate is fully intact. There is just a tiny amount of wear at the edges/corners which prevents a mint grading.
Vinyl: Looks Excellent. Would benefit from a light clean to remove the light static dust that built up over the years. I'm told that this has not been played more than 5 or 6 times and not played at all for 35 years.

Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
