History and Collected Improvisations of Frank Zappa and the MOI
 Yup, this is the 10 record boxed set of various live events (and some studio outtakes) through 1976 (not to be confused with the box set that Frank intended to put out but never did, but the bootleggers named it such for marketing purposes). I shit myself twice when I saw this in a record shop in Boston on a business trip in the mid 1980's and then bought it immediately!
 450 minutes of jams plus a 36 page booklet called Ten Years on the Road with Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention (a collection of newspaper articles and such). There is a nice variety on here and surprisingly only about 10% was ever officially released (of the recordings, not the songs). Some interesting items to be sure, including very early versions of Packard Goose, Any Downers, and the Don't Eat the Yellow Snow Suite (which then started with Father Oblivion), the world premiere of Torture Never Stops (then called "Why doesn't someone get him a Pepsi?' and sung by Captain Beefheart, a Booger Bear Report on Ruth Underwood detailing the night before in the hotel, an unreleased song called "You Can Swallow My Pride", etc. etc. etc.
 The track listing on the back of the box is not very accurate but a very good accounting of it appears Here!
 The condition of the box is quite good. The cover has a couple of ripped corners but not the bottom of the box. The labels were taped around the edges of the box to hold them on (not sure if they made them like that or someone that had it before me did it). The Book is in Excellent to Near Mint condition and looks like it was always kept inside the box. The records do have a few scuffs and scratches but they do not interfere with the playability. Most of the records have blank colored labels without text but if you look in the run out between the music and the label you can see where the master had the disc numbers scratched and you can identify the discs and sides that way, or by the label color (except for the 2 blue and 2 yellow discs which have the same or very similar colored labels). All in all a very nice addition to anyones collection!
