Description
- 1984 Barking Pumpkin Records 24 0234 9, this is an original German pressing - NOT A REISSUE - of the classic Frank Zappa 2 LP set "Them Or Us." Gatefold jacket is about VG/VG+, showing some handling around edges and spine, along with some ring wear and what looks to be minor water damage on back cover. (It looks like the jacket may have gotten damp at one point, not soaked, and stuck to another cover, resulting in some ring wear and small patches of paper loss.) There is also a name written in marker on the top left corner of the front, and two small areas of paper loss on the front as well. Despite these flaws, the cover is still super cool, as the original owner had Frank Zappa sign it in person; it is inscribed "To Fred The Magnificent F Zappa '84" in black marker on the front. No certificate of authenticity, but was supposedly signed in person after a gig in Stony Brook, NY in November of 1984. Both LPs are a shiny and clean EX (excellent), showing a couple of minor surface marks. Sound quality is solid throughout, while labels are crisp with no spindle wear. Only Zappa signature I have come across! NOTE: US Postal rates have increased as of January 27th. Buyers now pay $4.00 media shipping in the US, $23.00 first class mail overseas.
