WHITE LABEL PROMO
COVER: VG+ ~Clean, solid gatefold sleeve has very minimal wear to front; ring wear on back. Light wear to bottom seam with 2" split at opening edge.
VINYL: MINT Minus ~High gloss vinyl is super-clean with a touch of sleeve markings. LP plays like new throughout. White PROMO labels are spanking clean with no marks; label side 1 has radio station sticker.

Superb, bright, bold sound on this barely played 1st press promo!
Although BURNT WEENY SANDWICH is framed by a pair of infectious and characteristically wigged-out doo-wop numbers with Frank on lead vocal ("WPLJ"; "Valarie"), most of the WEENY is actually a highly innovative, avant garde classical/jazz/rock hybrid. The compositions are all solid, though as you should expect, somewhat abstract. The Mothers all put in major parts to the body. Frank deals out some wicked wah-wah guitar on the title track; a long, multi-part studio/live cut ("The Little House I Used To Live In") features a funky wah-wah'ed fiddle solo from Don "Sugarcane" Harris and some classic Zappa-esque put-downs of the audience at the very end ("sit down and be quiet.", "everyone in this room is wearing a uniform, don't kid yourself").
Serious Mothers music that doesn't take itself too seriously
