Sea Cruise/Roberta-Frankie Ford-TROPICAL(Orig JA)(78rpm)(10")

Beautifully preserved U.S RnB selection as played by Jamaican Sound-System pioneers in the 1950's & 1960's. This is an ultra RARE Jamaican pressed copy from TROPICAL RECORDS, KINGSTON, JAMAICA of the 'Ace' classic RnB tune later covered by Jackie Edwards -ska style, not to mention John Holt-reggae style.

I do not have a 78 player so this is visually graded at VG- for vinyl & may possibly play at VG. Label is EX. It is still in its original (creased) brown paper bag.

Very Rare Original Collectors & Selectors Copy & a perfect example of the type of U.S RnB favoured by Jamaican Sound-System Selectors. (These tunes still get pressed up on vinyl 45's even today in Jamaica such is the thirst for this type of 'Blues Blaster').

ORIGINAL JAMAICAN SOUND-SYSTEM COPY-HISTORY IN YOUR HANDS- As played by 'Count John The Lion', 'Tom The Sebastian', 'Wasp', 'Stan The Soul Merchant', 'V Rocket', 'King Edwards', not to mention 'Coxson's Down-Beat' & 'Duke Reid The Trojan'.

GRADING:
MINT = unplayed ex-shop stock.
EX = almost mint except for possible light usage,or marking on label.No marks on vinyl.
VG = minimal marks,no reduction in sound quality at all.
VG- =very clean sound quality,but marks to vinyl and possible light scratches.(this is by far the most common condition of my records and proves wholly satisfactory to customers).
G+/VG- = more than acceptable playing condition,label likely to be worn or marked.
G+ = noisy-but music still appreciable.
G/G- = rough condition,noisy,could be scratched or have hiss but of great interest for historical content.

OTHER ABBREVIATIONS USED;
BLANK = original first pressing of tune given to sound system operators to play before the record was given a label and made available in the shops for the general public.
LD = label damage.
CD = Cover Damage(applicable to LP’s).

Please note: most records i sell are ex sound system copies and often have sound man markings on the labels.
