 Though not really part of the Rock 'n' Roll scene,Frankie Lymon backed by his group The Teenagers was hugely popular in this country for a short period where the teenage market was screaming out for any American artists who vaguely fell in to this category.This first album is without his backing group and is exceptionally rare in anything approaching decent condition.The copy on offer is very clean with a few light surface marks to the vinyl and plays well throughout.There is a light mark across the fourth track on side 1 and if you listen very carefully you can just hear a few very light pops as the stylus passes over but it is very minor.Other than that the album plays well throughout with the occasional light dust click and patch of low level dust crackle.Green and gold Columbia labels both in perfect condition with no wear around the spindle hole.There is a small red and white factory sample sticker to the A side.Vinyl still has a nice shine and is graded as about EX-.The cover is in excellent condition with no splits or tears and the lamination is undamaged which is rare on these early 10" albums.Some very light ring wear just showing and a light crease to the top right hand corner.Other than a few very small minor edge lamination creases the cover is excellent.Laminated back very clean with undamaged "half moon" flipbacks and maybe just a little yellowed with age.Graded as EX-.Rare opportunity to purchase a nice copy of this hard to find album.
