This rare South American release is a release when the now Wigan Casino Northern Soul classic "The Night" became a UK hit in 1975, three years after its original release. Motown issued "Inside You" compilation album as a result which contained songs from "Chameleon" as well as one off singles by Valli. Unfortunately, this great song did not chart in the US as its original single on Mowest 5025 was withdrawn. There have been rumors that some promotional pressings got out but I've never seen. "The Night" would have made a far better single than "Walk On Don't Look Back" but even so, Motown wasn't very generous with promoting the band or the superb "Chameleon" album. Motown may have opted for a song written by in house "The Corporation" over one written by Bob Gaudio (of The 4 Seasons) and Al Ruzicka but the world may never really know.
