Release Year: 1975 - this is a reissue of the 1972 original issue. It was re-released in 1975 because of being so in demand on the Northern Soul dancefloors.
This is a well known Northern Soul classic song, and popular outside of the genre too.
The single plays well on the A side, and plays to a Very Good Plus grading standard.There are some start up crackles, that only can be heard until the words , "Before I go forever", at which point I could not hear them. The rest of the song plays fine
The B side does have some very slight crackles at the start, which do disperse as the song plays. The song has a very quiet start up and as soon as it gets going, all is fine.
The A Side , The Night, is the dominant side and plays well apart from the brief issue I have mentioned.
I have not over graded, but used caution with VG+ so that I am as close as possible.
The record comes in a new retro style repro Mowest sleeve.
The record label on the A side does have a name, which has been blurred out for the picture.It is not glaringly noticeable and not in felt tip or bright ink or anything like that.
This is an essential Northern Soul record if you love the genre and a timeless song from Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

I use the Rare Record Guide matrix as a guideline and Discogs and other sites, but also prefer to listen to the vinyl where possible and not just visually grade the condition.
