Condition : cover still with the original tag, see the scan # 2, has little slight traces of wear, NEAR MINT / vinyl has a few cloudy mini stripes on the first side and some surface marks which do not affect at all listening possibly with a couple of insignificant clicks, EX

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge. I listen EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : certamente siamo di fronte a due brani d'atmosfera: il primo allegro e dal ritmo veloce mentre il secondo ha un'atmosfera malinconica ed un andamento lento. Ordinaria routine dunque ? Eppure de Roubaix anche in ciò che apparentemente sembra banale riesce sempre a conferire alle sue composizioni quel qualcosa in più derivante da un'immensa sensibilità artistica. "L'Étalon" termina con un'esplosione di suoni dell'orchestra e vocalizzi. "Thème des Femmes Délaissées" ha ottimi passaggi di chitarra. 

Notes : of course we are faced with two atmospheric tracks: the first is cheerful and fast paced while the second features a melancholic atmosphere from slow development. Ordinary routine then? Nevertheless de Roubaix even in what apparently may seem banal is always able to give to his compositions that something extra deriving from a huge artistic sensibility. "The Étalon" ends with an explosion of orchestral sonorities and vocalisms. "Thème des Femmes Délaissées" has great guitar passages.
