EXHIBITION TONIGHT / EXHIBITION TONIGHT (INSTRUMENTAL)
BARCLAY 813 299-7
1983
Click HERE and listen to our soundclip / mp3 of both sides
Cult and hot French pop cum boogie funk item (sung in English) with sexy disco rap and programmed beats. Comped with crossover appeal to '80s French house - hip hop - new wave - Italo disco collectors. The instrumental side is like a dub version of the main song. A soupçon more cosmic and spaced-out with Frantz and his female backing. The music is carefree and clearly captures a moment in time (just like the sleeve artwork). Cool breaks and interludes. Great for DJs! Disc cut loud with big production sound. The synth player was future film composer, Philippe Eidel. Please see our other current auctions for the Laurie Destal - Frivole De Nuit 7inch with yet more sexy girl rap in a boogie funk setting :)
Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
RECORD - shiny, strong VG++ regardless of a section of faint hairlines cum faint scuffs from storage and any faded old pressing marks / disc cut loud with big production sound / some natural light background noises
SLEEVE - original laminated soft card sleeve is strong VG++ (closer to M-) regardless of any ring creasing or ring dirt marks from storage / sharp looking overall with just a touch of edge wear in places / item from the archive of an important record label who had offices in Milan, hence the archive pen notation to back sleeve
LABEL - minimal wear / a few faint old dirt marks from storage
After a 2 year gap, Pourquoi Moi Vintage is back :)
