Description

You are bidding on a copy of a rare, very early two track, in line stereo reel to reel tape.

The tape is by Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians, and is titled "In Hi-Fi", released by Capitol Records in 1957. The tape runs at 7 1/2 IPS and is approximately 30 minutes in length.

This is a two track stereo tape, the earliest stereo releases on the market. I do not actually have a two track reel to reel machine, and listened to this tape on a standard four track stereo model. It plays extremely well with no apparently flaws, but I was only hearing half of each track's signal. I can post a segment of the tape (as played on my machine) if anyone is interested.

Enclosed in the box is a copy of sheet music for a song arranged for Fred Waring's group. See photo, above.

The box is in very good condition, although there is some writing and other marks on the back (see photo).

Winner pays $4.50 for shipping and handling via media mail. This is the preferred shipping method, but will send by other methods if less expensive, or if requested. Will ship internationally.
