Description
Here's an original US FIRST STEREO copy of FRED WESLEY'S HORNY HORNS LP, A BLOW FOR ME, A TOOT TO YOU with the great MACEO PARKER on tenor and alto saxes. There were 2 short eras of James Brown's JB's band. The first was the band anchored by the Collins brothers, Catfish and Bootsy. When they went off to join George Clinton to make Parliament Funkadelic the premier funk band of the time, Brown brought in Fred Wesley for the second era of the JB's. This LP for sale is a great combination of both bands, as Bootsy joins in on Drums, guitar and bass. Catfish adds his incredible flair on guitar, and Bernie Worrell is on synths and keys. Not bad, right? Well add to that; The Brecker Brothers on additional horns, and the LP was produced by both GEORGE CLINTON and BOOTSY in their prime, 1977. It's an amazing funk LP that's hard to find, and nearly impossible to find STILL FACTORY SEALED.
This is a beautiful copy that was well preserved. STILL FACTORY SEALED with a 1/4" cutout bottom left. A very small amount of ring wear, and slight discoloration to the shrink on the back, spine side.
