This one is a mono pressing of Freddie Hubbard's OPEN SESAME. Blue Note Records BLP-4040. For me, this is the best of Freddie Hubbard. With legendary TINA BROOKS.
This is an original issue from Blue Note Records, not a reissue version of Classic Records or Analog Production. Recorded by Rudy Van Gelder with "RVG" stamped on the dead wax of both sides. There are no "EAR" stamped on the dead wax of both sides. No deep groove on both labels. Address on labels: "BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 47 WEST 63rd, NYC".
The cover is the 1st version cover with address on the back as follows: BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC., 43 West 61st St., New York 23. Laminated on front. Comes with an original Blue Note's inner sleeve.
Freddie Hubbard (trumpet), Tina Brook (tenor saxophone), McCoy Tyner (piano), Sam Jones (bass), Clifford Jarvis (drums).
The vinyl plays NM on both sides. Under the bright light, lust and shinny. I saw a light non-fellable hairline on Side 1 (song no.1) which has not produced noise or tic or pop whatsoever.
The laminated cover is NM-. No split. No fading. Just small paper losses on corners. The spine is intact.
The record is play graded as well as visually. I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws.
My grading is as follows: M (perfectly like new), NM, NM-/VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G, G-. You will be satisfied. And I will accept a free return. Please bid with confidence.
