Description
PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
WILDLY RARE original Jacksonville first pressing from 1971 on Shelter's red label with NO bar across the Superman egg logo (second pressings had a black bar across the logo after a Superman logo lawsuit) and original printed inner sleeve!!! LP is VG+ with a few barely visible paper scuffs. Cover is VG+ as well with some light ring. Includes the BLISTERING original version of Going Down, one of the best blues songs in history in this collector's never humble opinion. With all due respect to Jeff Beck, whose version I absolutely love, this one gives me goosebumps EVERY time I hear it. Freddie's bends and the sounds he forces out of his guitar are the absolute pinnacle of hard blues. Simply sublime and unequaled. Worth a million times the price of admission on its own merit but this entire LP is essential. Every fan of not just blues but music in general needs this LP. It's that good.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING~ MINT (SEALED) NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF US VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
