·       RARE SECOND KING LABEL MONO PRESSING FROM 1984/85 (BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO REISSUES OF THIS ALBUM IN NEARLY QUARTER CENTURY -- BETWEEN 1961 AND 1984, MAKING THIS MID-1980s PRESSING ONLY THE SECOND KING PRESSING OF THIS TITLE, DESPITE THE FACT THAT KING DID, IN FACT, RELEASE IN 1966 A SIMILARLY TITLED FREDDY KING COMPILATION WHICH IS COMPLETELY UNRELATED TO THIS ALBUM)

·       THE PRESSING WE HAVE HERE IS SOMEWHAT OF A MYSTERY: IN 1980'S KING RECORDS - UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT - REISSUED ALMOST ENTIRE CLASSIC KING/STARDAY/AUDIO FIDELITY CATALOG. HOWEVER, THIS PARTICULAR TITLE WAS REISSUED IN SUCH SMALL NUMBERS, THAT MOST OF THE COLLECTORS DON'T EVEN REALIZE IT EXISTS. THE SOUND ON THIS VINYL PRESSING IS BY LEAPS AND BOUNDS AN IMPROVEMENT OF THE LOWLY EUROPEAN (DANISH?) "SING" BOOTLEG WHICH WAS IN WIDE CIRCULATION UNTIL RECENTLY, AND WHICH WAS RECORDED FROM THE USED (AND NOISY) ORIGINAL KING LP!!!! THIS PRESSING WILL SPARE YOU FROM THAT KIND OF TORTURE: THE SOUND IS INCREDIBLE, PURE ANALOGUE

·       “CROWNLESS” BLUE KING LABEL WITH SILVER PRINT (EMULATING THE FIRST KING STEREO LABEL, IN USE BETWEEN 1960 AND 1965)

(a)          WE GRADE THE VINYL  AS  NEAR MINT. Some VERY LIGHT AND SUPERFICIAL abrasions – mostly sleeve scuffs -  are (barely) visible, but are probably inaudible,  and do not affect visual integrity or beauty of the vinyl. The original luster is very much intact, and the vinyl shines and sparkles almost like new.

(b)          Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

THE COVER IS NICE --- ABOUT VERY GOOD++ (VG++).

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-        Cover has a slight curly (wavy) warp in one corner (nothing significant)

-        Cover has a few tiny wrinkles along the spine

-         Cover has some light ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as  2 (front side) and 3 (back side)

-        Cover has a few tiny wrinkles along the spine

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER:

-        No split seams

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No dirt/dust rubbing stains (friction marks caused by rubbing against other covers)
