FREDDIE MERCURY QUEEN LARRY LUREX GENUINE WHITE LABEL You are bidding on a 100% genuine one sided 7" white label test pressing of Freddie Mercury of Queen’s first record release, which he made under the pseudonym of Larry Lurex. The song is a cover version of the Beach Boys “I Can Hear Music†and was released in 1973. The cut featured on this test pressing is around 20 seconds longer than the copies that were eventually pressed and released by E.M.I Records. The record features the stamped number LL A1 in the run-off groove. The B side has a standard EMI test pressing tone for approx 2 minutes, but does not have the B side ‘Going Back’ that was on the released record. It has ‘2’ stamped on it as well as LP FB in the run off groove. The record is the property of Peter ‘Ratty’ Hince, Freddie and Queen’s longest serving roadie and head of Queen’s crew. The record is in very good condition and has only been played once to verify what was on it. It comes in its original white paper sleeve , which is a bit faded and yellowed from age (33 years......) but is completely intact. This test record with original sleeve is extremely rare, and to find one with such excellent provenance is virtually impossible. Hence the starting price and reserve.
