Visual grading

Overall the vinyl is in an impressive condition for its age with only a few very faint hairlines and one tiny mark on Side Two that doesn't affect the audio in any way.  A little spindle wear yes but it has obviously been well cared for.  It is certainly one of better ones I have heard in a while.

Play grading

The title track plays with minor static during the first minute or so but the audio remains strong and vibrant.  Thereafter it plays superbly well with just a hint of very light static in a here and there.  A superior version with excellent clarity.  'La Japonaise' has stunning audio, I have rarely heard better.  It is almost of Mint quality it is that good especially when there are so many quiet sections.  'The Fallen Priest' plays equally as well and the final track 'Ensueno' plays in sublime fashion again when you consider how quiet it is.  There is just slight intermittent static to be heard.

'The Golden Boy' plays very clearly with only light static but is not intrusive in any way.  It still grades highly when you consider this vinyl is now 28 years old.  The remaining tracks play very clearly and with excellent depth and resonance.  Just a touch of very very light static again but nothing I would describe as crackle.  'Guide Me Home' and 'How Can I Go On', favourites of many, play wonderfully well.  The final track, 'Overture...' plays practically as Mint.  No clicks, pops or jumps anywhere.

Gatefold cover

The gatefold is in excellent condition with some mild shelf wear.  The edges and corners do have some rubbing but is only minor and the wide spine has a few light creases.  There is also a small area of wear top right where I imagine a price sticker has been removed.  Other than that it is extremely clean and the inside of the gatefold is superb.

The lyric inner and labels

The lyric inner is just a shade off being Mint, in lovely condition with just a couple of barely visible creases.  The labels are extremely clean with no marks or writing.
