"Magic Carpet" Radio Show Transcription Disc From The Armed Forces Radio Service. Two 15 minute radio programs on this 16 inch, vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm disc. This disc was issued to radio stations for broadcast only and not available to the general public, very rare
"Magic Carpet" radio program #346 featuring Freddy Nagel & His Orchestra from The Peacock Court of The Hotel Mark Hopkins in San Francisco. Vocals are by Dick Baldwin. Songs include "The Bells Of St. Marys", "Laughing On The Outside" vocal Dick Baldwin, "Nola", "Out Of Nowhere / Sweet And Lovely / If I Could Be With You" - this last song is interrupted by the closing announcement. 15 minutes complete
"Magic Carpet" radio program #347 featuring Joe Sanders & His Orchestra from The Trianon Ballroom in Southgate, CA with vocals by Joe Sanders & Gloria Vallaire?. Songs include "Welcome To My Dream" vocal Joe Sanders, "There's Good Blues Tonight" vocal Gloria Vellaire?, "Laughing On The Outside" vocal Gloria Vellaire?, "What is This Thing Called Love". Joe Sanders previously was co-leader of the Coon-Sanders Orchestra. 15 minutes complete
Since both orchestras play "Laughing On The Outside", which was a hit in 1946, I suspect that these shows are from 1946
