FREEDOM - FREEDOM IS MORE THAN A WORD
Very rare 1972 stereo UK original first pressing LP on swirl label. Catalogue number 6360072. Matrix numbers: Side one: 6360072 1Y//1 420 113 Side two: 6360072 2Y//1 420 112 Gatefold gimmix sleeve with swirl inner sleeve. RECORD CONDITION: EXCELLENT. Just the lightest traces of the record having been removed and replaced into it's inner sleeve and then only visible under bright, angled light. Using a magnifying glass I noted two very light marks on side two, track two which were inaudible. Another tiny mark on the same side at the beginning of track three created a very light tick (see audio grading). The labels are clean, without stains or writing and show just a few spindle traces when examined with a magnifying glass.
SLEEVE CONDITION: EXCELLENT. The unlaminated gimmix sleeve shows minor evidence of handling with some light rubbing to the corners and a few light creases adjacent to the spine which is straight, square and uncompressed with all text clear and legible. There is a small crease in the bottom right corner of the gimmix cut-out and slight evidence of a label having been applied to the front cover, below and left of the Vertigo swirl logo. These were only noticed under very close examination and the sleeve is otherwise a very clean example with no writing or stains.
AUDIO GRADING: I play grade records fully using a high quality moving coil cartridge. This LP plays very well with strong, distortion free sound. Audio quality was high with good dynamics throughout. I noted the occasional light crackle, a few soft pops and a very light, low level tick on side two at the beginning of track three which lasted for three revolutions of the record. This was hardly noticeable and I'm being ultra-critical here.
Records are graded to Record Collector Grading System definitions.
PACKING: All records are cleaned on a professional quality record cleaning machine and placed into a new poly-lined inner sleeve. The original inner will be included. Record covers are put into a pvc outer sleeve and the record removed from the cover to prevent seam splits. The record will be posted in a new cruciform record box with additional stiffeners.
