VINYL is VG+
Clean, glossy Vinyl has some non-feelable light sleeve marks and hairlines that are mostly inaudible. Less on Side 2. Record plays clean, bold and full-bodied with some low level background sound between tracks and at beginning lead-in of each side. Labels are immaculate both sides.

COVER is EX
Snapping bright and spanking clean thick Gatefold cover is in superb condition with no wear, writing, discoloration or soil. a couple of soft edge creases off of spine. tiny drill hole at l.r. corner (hard to see - buried in the illustration). Inside Gatefold is pristine. Seams and smooth flat spine are completely intact with no splits.
NOTE : My poor lighting is causing glare to upper left corner of front cover photo; nearly wiping out the visibility of the catalog number info "ABC S 708 STEREO" printed there. Please be advised that it is actually clearly, completely and solidly printed there, with NO wear or fade that the photo unfortunately suggests.

HARD ROCK BLUES/PSYCH GEM from little-known Brit HARD ROCK Band FREEDOM 

FREEDOM was formed in 1967 by Ray Royer and Bobby Harrison, original guitarist and drummer for the early PROCOL HARUM - both are on the recording of the WHITER SHADE OF PALE hit single, and toured with them at regional UK clubs. They left before the song became a huge worldwide hit, looking to create a harder rocking, heavier sound.
Freedom evolved and pared down to a three-piece power trio. They played clubs opening for Black Sabbath and Jethro Tull, getting some serious notice. 5 LPs in all were recorded before they split up in 1972. 
This was their third LP - and the first released in America. Hard Rock and Progressive Psych-Blues with heavy guitar, similar in many ways to CREAM and other bands in the 1960s British Blues-Rock scene, but with a decidedly harder edge. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The LP was only pressed once, in 1970. actually a WEST COAST and an EAST COAST pressing were simultaneously made for the original release This LP for sale is the East Coast Press. Quite scarce to find in clean condition.

who was a DJ at the Radio Station I co-founded in the 1970's - and who worked for me at my California record store in the '70s and '80s.
Sadly he has now finally left this mortal coil, bequeathing me his deep Vinyl Mine.
