Recorded in just three days but over a period of two years and released very close to Eno's own solo album 'Here Come the Warm Jets', 'No Pussyfooting' is one of Eno's earliest musical experiments and the beginning of his 'ambient' music

At the same time Brian Eno was working on Here Come the Warm Jets, he was flexing his experimental muscle with this album of tape delay manipulation recorded with Robert Fripp.
In a system later to be dubbed Frippertronics, Eno and Fripp set up two reel-to-reel tape decks that would allow audio elements to be added to a continuing tape loop, building up a dense layer of sound that slowly decayed as it turned around and around the deck's playback head. Fripp later soloed on top of this.
No Pussyfooting represents the duo's initial experiments with this system. "The Heavenly Music Corporation" demonstrates the beauty of the setup, with several guitar and synth elements building on top of each other, the music slowly evolving, and Fripp ending the piece with low dive-bombing feedback that swoops over the soundscape, bringing the piece to its conclusion. Eno and Fripp later refined the system on Evening Star and Eno's solo album Discreet Music. Fripp would take the system and base whole albums and live appearances around it (particularly Let the Power Fall). But it was here on No Pussyfooting where it all started.

LABELS: The labels are clean and unmarked with light/moderate spindle traces (a dozen or so tops) - EXCELLENT+
VINYL Visual: The vinyl still retains its original deep, like new glossy sheen with just some light hairlines - EXCELLENT+
VINYL Audio: Sensational audio delivery with a crystal clear, rich, deep and vibrant sound and on playback at a loud volume (which is how I always listen to my records prior to listing and it's always a great pleasure to return to this one) there are no scratches, no sticks/jumps and very little else to fault. There is the occasional, intermittent little click and some touches of surface noise on Side One (but nothing I found at all intrusive). The playback on Side Two however, is flawless - this is certainly one of the finest copies I have heard in a while and is critically graded a strong EXCELLENT (Side One) / NEAR MINT (Side Two) - a very fine copy of these two stunning pieces and very highly recommended indeed
SLEEVE: The gatefold cover is in superb condition - clean and unmarked with no real wear to speak of on either the edges or spine - very crisp and fresh - NEAR MINT
and the original black die-cut inner has no splits - EXCELLENT+
