Description

Veteran members of the Chicago Symphony, many of whom I have the good fortune to know, still rave about Byron Janis. This performance is more than ample evidence of his startling technique and pianistic poetry. Fritz Reiner leads the CSO in an accompaniment that matches Janis' wizardry. A wonderful performance in SPECTACULAR RCA 2-track-tape stereo sound from "old" Orchestra Hall!! The box is in like-new condition with only an old price tag and minor adhesive tape residue on the outside; a small split can be found on the back of the box by the thumbnail indentation.problems with this tape.) The tape, which is stored TAILS OUT on the reel, plays beautifully on my Revox B-77 deck. A former owner has spliced in some leader tape between the "Dance" and the "Final Scene". Overall, an EXCELLENT copy of this rarity. Packing, USPS FIRST CLASS shipping and insurance are a flat $5 to domestic U.S. destinations. Priority mailing on request. International destinations will cost more. I will combine multiple winnings into one shipment. PLEASE WAIT FOR MY INVOICE AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE AUCTION. I kindly ask for payment within 10 days of the auction's end. I prefer US Postal Money Orders or PayPal. Other money orders and personal cheques will require clearance at my bank before shipping. Please check out my other tapes being auctioned, too. Thanks!
