Scope Neglect is a first new full length album from celebrated Iceland-based Australian composer Ben Frost in six years. Fans will know and newcomers should get to know that his brand of music is as influenced by classical minimalism as it is by sounds like punk rock and metal. He undergoes something of an evolution this record though as "the familiar aural chemistry of metal is immediately untethered" with Car Bomb's guitarist Greg Kubacki and Liam Andrews, bassist in My Disco, both adding their own distinctive powers. The rest is another engaging and intriguing electronic work.
