So, so hard to find, one of Fruupp's all time classic albums and here it is where it all came together from start to finish!! Splendid  prog album in great EX condition!! This will be a great first acquisition as well as a terrific upgrade!!! This has the original  Dawn label. A stunning copy of this album, rarely ever seen in this condition.

I have played this in FULL> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! There are not any jumps, pops or skips. There is NO background noise at all!! Very remarkable for this 1974 vinyl!!! The heavy vinyl with high groovewalls provides a fantastic audio experience with channelling not equalled by the later CD version. I played this on my Technics turntable with a Linn cartridge and through my very revealing Rotel amp and B&W three way speakers!!! A beautiful CLASSIC with supreme songcraft, a joy to listen to!!!!

 Second release from the magical band FRUUPP, 'SEVEN SECRETS', is an amazing example of relatively early symphonic prog of the highest order originating from Ireland . As a passionate lover of prog-rock, I am very much in love with this LP and the other three they did ; from the amazing, textured sleeve graced with some great artwork , through to the incredible compositions and carefully executed performances of each musician. 

 As a seasoned reviewer of progressive music, one can become rather cynical, noticing the bad stuff rather than the good stuff, and longing for something fresh. So when listening to Fruupp's second album, 'Seven Secrets', gave this reviewer the feeling that he was listening to prog for the first time all over again, I knew this was something special. I had not been excited like this about an album in months, and there was something deeply satisfying about this album that kept me coming back for more.

It's amazing to think that buying this album in the first place was a complete fluke. I'd walked into a quirky independent record shop in Leeds, and was browsing the CDs when I saw this album. I had only heard of Fruupp through their entry on the recent 'Wondrous Stories: A Complete Introduction to Progressive Rock' compilation. The track this compilation chose to use is in fact The Seventh Secret, the final track from this album, which is no more than a whimsical poem sung over an acoustic guitar - hardly a good introduction to Fruupp. The name rang a bell, so I decided to pick it up, since I couldn't find anything more interesting in the store. What a surprise I was in for! (As a side note, the owner also pointed out the presence of the band's third album 'The Prince of Heaven's Eyes', which I picked up too.)

Knowing that the group were Irish, and given the album covers I had seen, I expected this album to be quite a low-key folky endeavour, with little lasting appeal. To my great fortune, I was utterly wrong. The songs on here are unashamedly progressive, with a sense of freshness and originality that brings a smile to my face. Discounting the final track, the songs on here are all of medium length, averaging 7½ minutes each, allowing each track to breathe, and run its course. Each track is unique, intimate, special, fascinating and, more often than not, adventurous, properties that fans of Gentle Giant could easily relate to. (progarchives.com)

SO HARD TO FIND THIS FRUUPP ALBUM IN THIS FANTASTIC CONDITION THIS WILL BE AN UPGRADE FOR MOST SERIOUS COLLECTORS FOR ITS VINYL. IT IS VERY HARD THESE DAYS TO STILL FIND THIS GEM IN THIS SMASHING CONDITION. IT WILL BE A LONG TIME BEFORE THIS TURNS UP AGAIN IN THIS SPLENDID CONDITION WITH AGAIN MORE TAKERS THAN EVER BEFORE. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT INVESTMENT PIECE. 

Vinyl: EX to EX+.  I'm very happy to be able to present this Irish gem in this wonderful condition. Only lightly played. The audio is simply sublime played on my Technics deck with Linn Sondek cartridge and through my rotel amp and B&W speakers.  This really heavy vinyl sounds out of this world, a majestic album that went largely unnoticed at the time. Unbelievably it has NO hairlines or marks at all!! A couple of spider traces near the spindle. The audio has beautiful separation and there is no background noise. Just very wispy paper retraction traces under a strong light, these are not visible in normal daylight. I played this through in full and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was even tempted to keep this as it will be very hard to find this again, it is indeed mega rare now in this kind of condition. The labels have no spindle traces at all. Needless to say NO jumps, clicks or ticks. The best you will find by miles. This will be a fantastic upgrade for most long time collectors!!

Sleeve: EX+.  Fantastic looked after matt and textured, inside and outside, sleeve . Lovely colours and not any creases or stickers.  Barely any storage wear at all wear and a spine which is 100% legible.  I have only ever come across this album twice before, it is very scarce. It must be one of the very best in existence for this ultra rarity.
