Description
Rare promotional copy from 1978 westbound Records. An oustanding guitarist, Fuzzy Haskins was part of the original Funkadelics backing band that accompanied George Clinton and his Parliaments. Radio Active, is Fuzzy Haskins second solo release. Most of the musicians he recorded with were his old band mates including Jerome Brailey, Bruce Nazarian, Michael Hampton, Glen Goins, Gary Shider, Cordell Mosson and Bernie Worrell. The vibe they created was also close to their roots with cuts like Not Yet and I Think I Got My Thang Together. There are also some lighter Soul numbers such as This Situation Called Love. Really, you could exchange any of these cuts for anything off a Parliamentfunkadelic LP from the same time. The big improvement with Radio Active however is that Haskins’ vocals actually sound good, a major improvement, making this the stronger of his two albums.
Tracks:
1. Not Yet
2. I Think I Got My Thang Together
3. This Situation Called Love
4. Gimme Back (Some Of The Love You Got From Me)
5. Thangs We Used To Do
6. Woman
7. Sinderilla
8. Silent Day
PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a re-issue. Original vinyl LP. Graded as Ex/M-
Here’s a brief explanation of our grading system:
SS Still Sealed - in factory-fresh condition
M- Mint Minus - a near perfect, probably unplayed record
Ex Excellent – only superficial signs of use that don’t affect play. Only well cared for records will grade out to Ex.
VG Very Good - a used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice.
Good Good - significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise.
