Description
Looks factory sealed. I took several pictures of all the clues to the age of this album. Likely a reissue. SOME CORNER WEAR, NO TEARS IN PLASTIC.
Here is the information I picked up from AI:
PLEASE DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH IF THIS STUFF IS IMPORTANT TO YOU. SOLD AS IS. I TRY TO MAKE MY DESCRIPTIONS AND RESEARCH AS ACCURATE AS POSSIBLE. DYOR PLEASE!
Determining Your Specific Pressing
Since it is factory-sealed, you cannot look at the center label or check the matrix numbers etched into the vinyl's runout groove. However, you can narrow down the exact decade by looking at a few details on the outer jacket: [1, 2]
- The Back Cover (Bottom Left): Check to see if it lists a producer credit ("Produced by George Martin"). If it does, it is a later 70s or 80s press. [1]
- The Back Cover (Bottom Right): Look for a small number printed near the bottom corner (such as 12, 16, or a single digit). This RIAA manufacturing code identifies which printing plant made the jacket. [1, 2]
- The Plastic Shrink Wrap: Authentic vintage factory seals from Capitol Records usually feature "breath holes"—tiny pin-sized ventilation holes visible across the front or back of the shrink wrap. [1, 2]
THERE ARE NO BREATH HOLES. JUST SOLID PLASTIC WRAP. I'M GUESSING THIS IS A 70s early 80s pressing. Again do your own research if that's important to you.
