Fais Do Do Breakdown- Volume One- The Late 1940's- The Fais-Do-Do and Feature Recordings, released by Flyright (FLY 609 A/B) in Mono in 1986.  Made in England.

*This collection represents not only some of the very first post-war Cajun recordings, but some of the first Cajun releases recorded by the legendary J.D. Miller, beginning in 1946.  Two fairly different groups are featured here: Happy, Doc & The Boys and Lee Sonnier & his Acadian All Stars.  Happy, Doc & The Boys mostly played very old, traditional Cajun styles.  Lee Sonnier's groups also reflected musical tradition, but embraced elements of Western Swing into their remarkable sound.  The combination of Sonnier's elated, screaming vocals with some incredible pedal steel playing on their wild breakdowns is simply mesmerizing.  As with all of J.D. Miller's recordings, you can expect phenomenal production aesthetics with the absolute best "down-hone" musicians.  It just doesn't get much better than this stuff!*

The Vinyl is visually-graded in VG+ condition.  When looked at under a bright light, the record shows a very rich luster and a few, incredibly light surface marks.

The Cover is mostly still in its shrink and is graded in VG+ condition, just showing some very minor edge wear.

Shipping is calculated by ebay at the actual cost for you, the consumer. I don't charge any extra fees for material or handling.

For combined shipping, please add $1 for each additional LP you purchase. If you buy many records from me, I can ship them all together in one box, and charge you the actual cost I pay at the post office. International customers, please keep in mind that once you reach 4 pounds (roughly 4 LPs+), 1st Class International is no longer a shipping option, and you must ship Priority or Express.

Insurance is your option as a buyer. International customers, please keep in mind that you can only insure your item if you ship Express, which can be very expensive. Please contact me if you would prefer this option.
