Description
Family were a progressive rock band primarily active between 1966 – 1973.Led by lead vocalist Roger Family's Chapman style crossed over many genres including blues, rock, progressive and psychedelic rock as well as folk and jazz rock.

RSLP 6312 A-3G/B-3G
Released in 1968 and now widely acknowledged as a classic, the album was characterised by Chapman's vocals, rooted in blues and R&B.
Sleeve: Laminated front, triple flipback sleeve, with pinched ends. Early stereo sleeve “6312” on front, RLP6312 on spine and “stereo RSLP” sticker on rear (these were original mono sleeves). Fully readable spine, flipback rear. Age related handling and a couple of creases on front graded (see photos) probably sits between VG and VG+ depending on your grading.
Label: Reprise mustard colour grooved label. Nice and clean, no graffiti/sticker residue etc, graded VG+
Vinyl: Visually retains a sheen (see photos). Under bright light there are some sleeve removal lines, a couple of small scuffs (S2) – nothing that affects listening and hardly noticeable Graded VG+
Audio: Plays through with no problems: no skips, sticks, pips or pops. Solid VG+

VG+ condition: Released in 1970, UK first press A2/B2, Reprise tri-colour label, MacNeill Press gatefold sleeve including original lyric sheet.
Sleeve: Matt gatefold MacNeill Press sleeve. Readable spine, being a matt sleeve does have corner and edge rub and light ringwear on rear. Probably Sits between VG/VG+ depending on your grading – see photos.
Original Inner lyric sheet in nice condition EX, no rips or splits (not a copy).
Label: Classic Reprise Tri-colour label, clean no writing or sticker residue VG+
Vinyl: Solid, heavy weight 1970s vinyl. Visually retains a nice sheen and grove definition. Under bright light some micro sleeve removal lines – 2 small scuffs on S2 barely visible (only under angled light) and dont affect play. Graded VG+
Audio: Plays through with no problems: no skips, sticks, pips or pops. Graded VG+

Sleeve: Fully laminated sleeve Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve, fully readable spine. Light age-related handling only - no major issues – see photos, VG+
Label: Mustard label with Red Reprise “R”. Clean no writing/sticker residue VG+
Vinyl: Visually retains a sheen, a closer look reveals a couple of light scuffs (S2), some cosmetic wispy lines caused by sleeve removal – only visible under bright light, none of which affect play. Graded VG+
Audio: Plays through clean, no sticks, skips, pips or pops, does have some dust crackle in-between tracks mainly S1.

The few records I sell are either the results of upgrades, duplicates or a bit of thinning every now and again – which this is. I strictly adhere to the Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide using one + or - for addition guidance:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
