PLEASE CONSIDER THAT IN THESE EBAY AUCTIONS I USE A STRICT RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE GRADING SYSTEM THAT CAN'T DISAPPOINT ANYONE BUT THIS DOESN'T MEAN THAT ,FOR EXAMPLE, A VG+ COVER OR A VG+ VINYL IT'S EQUIVALENT TO "BAD CONDITIONS" BUT SIMPLY THAT MY GRADE IT'S STRICT AND PROBABLY EQUIVALENT TO AN EX OF SOMEONE ELSE WITH NOT A SO STRICT GRADE. I HAVE SOLD IN THESE AUCTIONS EX- RECORDS THAT WERE SURELLY M- COPIES BUT I PREFERE TO BE STRICT TO AVOID ANY DISAPPOINTEMENT BECAUSE I TAKE GREAT CARE OF MY REPUTATION.
The auctioned item it's one of the rarest album in the UK folk and one of the rarest lps in our catalogue, 4 stars on 6 in the 3001 Pokora Book and I'm agree with his rarity judgement.
graded VG++/VG++ for a strict Record Collector magazine grading system
label: the original Westwood label WRS 013 it's in nice conditions I can see a couple of marks around the center hole and no others marks hence EX- ...this is a very rare label that made very rare lps as Friends O' Mine, Peregrine, Jancis Harvey, The Harvesters, The Yardarm, Saga, Deep Tim'bre and along with the Midas label he well show the best traditional folk landscape from UK.
cover:the cover it's matt and flimsy pressed in some hundreds only probably less than 500...some collector say 250 but I can't be sure of these infos ...there's not serious defects and maybe the photos suggest a worse situation just because I'm not a so good photograph...I can't see any ring wear just a trace but nothing more, maybe the back it's not totally perfect because some very light general wear so a good VG++ for a strict grade...as I insist to have in these auctions and I know I'm loosing a lot of money but I prefere sleep relaxed and well!
vinyl: the vinyl it's in great shape with his brilliancy totally intact. . 1 mark on the first track side one that it's unlistenable during the plays because it's a superficial scuff but I grade this vinyl VG++ just for this visual imperfection.
review: I'm very proud to offer you the other jewell of the label, maybe someone have this lp in his collection but I can tell you that it's not so simple ... I have managed 4 copies of this rare lp in my 37 year of collecting career and for this reason you can say that it's not so rare...anyway I had 5 copies of Oberon and the rarest UK folk lps in my hands like Shide & Acorn, Gallery, Folkal Point...so if I say this is a rare lp please believe me! Music it's of great level and the best thing on this lp it's the organ tha along with he recorder it's an instrument that for me must be always present...and the recorder it's here as well of course...the 6 and 12 string guitars, electric guitar, Bass...who like folk know that this instruments are a guaranty of good level of music but here the level it's excellent and with Friends O' Mine it's... a great battle! so don't miss this opportunity!!!
