Fantastics – ‘Me And You’ / ‘Have A Little Faith’ – Sound Stage 2665 (USA)
Produced by Fred Kibble, this is a wonderful and soulful dancer from a Texas ensemble some of whose members went on to join groups like Masters of Soul (Masters of Houston) and Archie Bell & the Drells (all of whom had recorded for Ovide). The Fantastics’ ‘That One’ came out on Kibble’s Copa label, but this one, to the best of my knowledge, was released on Sound Stage 7 only. A gorgeous record, in any case, and this copy is in top condition; don’t miss it!Condition: VG++ close to Excellent (please listen to the clip). Clean labels, the ‘Me And You’ side has some slight wear around the centre hole (please see scans).
