Faure Requiem Danco Souzay Ansermet UK Decca WBG SXL 2211
Suzanne Danco and Gerard Souzay with Ernest Ansermet conducting the Suisse Romande Orchestra and Chorus perform Faure's “Requiem”. An English stereo pressing on the Decca Label (SXL 2211 stampers 1M/1M), the labels have a full frequency stereo sound fatband and FFSS logo and “Made in England” at 10 o’clock with a groove. The record is of excellent appearance and plays and sounds superb with a minimum surface noise. The cover has some minor ring wear.
