La Parlophone Records prosegue la pubblicazione, partita nel 2014 con i primi 8 album degli IRON MAIDEN, con 12 nuove ristampe degli album in vinile nero a 180 grammi che coprono il periodo 1990-2015.
Tutto il catalogo degli Iron Maiden viene quindi ristampato.
“Fear of the Dark” è il nono album pubblicato l’11 maggio 1992.
Questo è l’ultimo album in studio degli anni novanta con Bruce Dickinson e nasce con il compito di riscattare la reputazione della band dopo il precedente insuccesso di “No Prayer for the Dying”.Il suono generale è più solido e aggressivo.
Per la prima volta dalla saga di Eddie la copertina non è stata realizzata da Derek Riggs ma da Melvyn Grant che collaborerà con la band per i successivi due album.
Questa volta Eddie viene rappresentato in simbiosi con un albero mentre allunga le sue braccia simili a rami in una notte di luna piena.
