Fecal Matter - Illiteracy Will Prevail Not On Label (Fecal Matter) - 188FMIWP European Unofficial Pressing 2017

Fecal Matter was a band Kurt Cobain started when in college with future Melvins drummer Dale Crover, and who also drummed on some early Nirvana performances. They only recorded one demo album as a band in 1985/6 on cassette using a TEAC 4 track tape recorder. It is not known how many demo tapes exist but they are the ultimate holy grail item for Nirvana fans.
There have been a handful of unofficial vinyl pressings of this album over the last couple of years but this particular example is phenomenal. I can't believe how they have created such a great sounding record from what must have been a really poor quality original recording. Even the best cassette albums sound awful compared to vinyl/CD never mind something recorded by an 18 year old 30 years ago.
Presented with a full professional version of the front cover rather than a picture of the original tape I think is a great touch, and the vinyl is stunning peach translucent marbled effect with a brown swirl (in tribute to the band's name no doubt haha). This private pressing was limited to 1000 pieces so a rare opportunity.
This is from my personal collection and bought new last year but as I think I've only played it once I thought I would let it go to somebody who might appreciate it more.

All of my records are play tested on a Project Debut Carbon with 2M Red stylus which is quite revealing so any sound defects may be more exaggerated than on other more mainstream players. Or conversely if you are a full on audiophile I will let you judge how your set up compares and how you envisage the sound will compare.
I don't currently have access to a cleaning machine so please forgive any dust or finger marks which are on any of my records - hopefully will be investing in one at some point.
Record Appearance - NM With mint being reserved for sealed records this is as near to mint as possible. I have only played this once or twice with no signs of wear bar a couple of marks on the label from being put on the spindle.
Record Audio - NM Perfect playback with no surface noise as only played once or twice. Really impressive sound quality considering the source material, great collectors piece. Please don't expect studio album levels of production but it is a lot better than most band's unreleased material.
Record Sleeve - NM Perfect condition with no signs of shelf wear stored in my personal collection and sadly not used.
