Description

This is part of a big auction of King & Federal 45's I'm running this week. There are also a few rare blues & R&B extras.  Take a look at my other items and keep an eye out for a Herald/Ember auction starting 8/7 and an all 50's Atlantic Records auction on 8/21.

Release: The Lamplighters - Salty Dog / Ride Jockey Ride

Format: 45 rpm 7" single


Year: 1954


Notes: Original 1st pressing, R&B flavored doo-wop. Great little guitar lick throughout Side A. Mid-50's label variant, green with the silver print.

Vinyl Condition: VG+, vinyl is in great shape with just a few small/faint scuffs - a bit of storage scuffing in runoff. Nice original gloss, looks very clean. Both sides play very well with almost no background noise at all. No skips, etc. Labels are clean as well, with just the slightest bit of scuffing.  See pics, but this is a nice copy overall.

Sleeve Condition: The sleeves on almost all the records I'm selling are pretty much in the same condition: there are wrinkles and some light bends as well as a small pencil number in the top right corner, but no tears or major damage.  This particular one has a split about way down the left side.
