Description
This is part of a large auction featuring Vee-Jay/King/Federal labels. Lots of cool blues, R&B and doo-wop here, with some bonus listings as always. Check back in a couple of weeks for a small label R&B auction.
Here's the info on this item:
Release: Willie Mabon – Rosetta, Rosetta / Light Up Your Lamp
Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Year: 1957
Notes: White label promo first pressing. Earlier single by Mabon and his first for Federal. There were three tracks recorded during this session, It's Gonna Hurt You didn't make the record, but is worth seeing out on YouTube. Both of these are cool, blues-leaning R&B tracks.
Vinyl Condition: VG+, Vinyl itself is in great shape with just one hairline on Light Up. It plays well and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, hardly any background noise at all. The labels are very clean with no tears, scuffs, writing. Looks great. This is a really copy overall.
Sleeve Condition: VG, outer sleeve is original. Has a bit of light wrinkling and a small pencil number. No tears/splits, but there is some wear to the top edge.
I want buying from me to be a good experience for you. I also know that condition can be very subjective, so I encourage you to see pics for exact condition details and ask questions if you need additional information. As always, the item you see is the one you will get. Please see my feedback, I think that will show that I am an accurate and fair grader and make sure my customers are happy.
I will combine shipping for anyone who wins more than one item. If you do need combined shipping, please wait for an invoice before paying.
