Feederz-Teachers In Space 1986-Near Mint • Flaming Banker Records, Cat. #: FB-2/Steal This 2 (This is not the re-release on Broken Rekids) • With a photo of the Space Shuttle Challenger blowing up on the front cover of this album (released the same year as the disastrous explosion of the ship), and titled "Teachers in Space (referencing the school teacher who died in the tragedy), you can sort of guess how deliciously wrong this LP is. Even John Waters found it shocking! • The prankster sentiment is like that of the Dead Kennedys but with no superego to keep etiquette in check, resulting in scandalously anti-authority, in-your-face, up-yours, true freedom-loving punk situationist celebration, with each song as menacingly different and creatively inspiring as the next; most tracks have lyrics, others are instrumental and others spoken word. Once you hear these songs, you will never forget them. At an early concert, lead singer/guitarist Frank Discussion opened fire on the crowd with an AR-47 filled with blanks, sending kids scrambling for the exits and hitting the floor. Whoah! • Artwork and illustrations throughout the jacket and 2-sided lyric sheet insert are classically anarchist and hilariously obnoxious. Insert is in great shape, but has a crease down the center. • Record is in excellent condition, as is jacket. Jacket is still in shrinkwrap and has a sticker on it announcing the included sticker inside: "Contains 1 of 12 collectable bumper stickers courtesy of the Feederz anti-public relations." Bumper sticker is included too, and it reads: "Go to school. Learn how to be a good loser." • Songs: Intro. Psychward. Lobster Quadrille. New Crime. Fire.
