FELA and Africa '70 Fear Not For Man reissue on Knitting Factory Records  Limited Edition on COLORED VINYL! includes download of full album Fear Not For Man was one of the first albums to be released  by Fela following the sacking of his Kalakuta Republic  compound by 1,000 soldiers on 18 February 1977.  Fela, along with many other Kalakuta residents, was  brutally beaten; his mother, then aged 77, was thrown  out of a window, fracturing a leg. The army set fire to the  compound, destroying six Afrika 70 vehicles, all Fela’s  master tapes and band equipment, a four-track recording  studio, and all the community members’ personal  belongings. It is doubtful, contrary to some sources,  Fear Not For Man was recorded after the attack – doubt  which is dispelled by neither the gruesome front sleeve  design, showing blood flowing down Fela’s face.  His response came later, on albums such as  Unknown Soldier (1979) and Coffin For Head Of State (1980);  Fela’s practice of no longer performing a song live once  he had released it on record is the reason for the  two/three year gap between the attack and  the release of these albums. includes side long jams;  Fear Not for Man Palm Wine Sound (instrumental)

LP PACKAGING
We package our LPs in a thick cardboard LP mailer. 
We ALWAYS take the LP out of the jacket of 2nd hand items to 
avoid any seam splitting that could occur in shipment. 
We put the LP and the jacket in an LP plastic sleeve. 
We do NOT open sealed LPs unless requested. 
We cushion the LP in bubble wrap and use shipping tape 
on all spines to protect the integrity of the box, and to 
insure the safety of the contents. All this is included in

the low shipping price. We will clean your purchase on our 
VPI machine if and when necessary. This insures that 
you receive your item in the best possible condition.

 LP SHIPPING
We offer the US Postal Service’s Media Mail and / or Priority 
for shipping in the U.S. Buyer’s choice. The buyer pays the shipping, 
packing (see above) and handling charges. Tracking is included 
with both. We occasionally run domestic shipping specials.

Shipping to other countries is by the United States Postal 
Service's First Class Mail International. Priority International
