july 2007 release ; ... staggeringly deluxe set of electro-acoustic “hörtexte” (radio plays) assembled primarily in the 60’s & 70’s by the german composer ferdinand kriwet (a name you should recognize from the “siemens-studio für elektronische musik” disc) ; comes as a boxed-set with three picture-disc lp’s and a full-size book / booklet containing reprints of several of kriwet’s dizzying graphic scores ...
these are dense plunderphonic collages using television & radio broadcast footage as source material ... recasting era voices & audio footage into meticulously edited bursts of sound the presage oswald’s “plunderphonics”, negativland, and the like by a good decade or two ... highly recommended !!!
