Amazing deep grooves on this rare LP from 1976 - this is none other than the legendary Chief Stephen Osita Osadebe, released under a different name because of royalty issues. Or so the story goes.
This album abounds with infuences from juju / fuji, highlife and funky bass patterns. Released on the occasion of FESTAC, the Nigerian festival highlighting cultural diversity, while the recordings actually pre-date those events with a couple of years as the album was recorded in 1973. The Afrobeat heads will find this interesting too as there's plenty of funky drumming going on. RARE!!
