Original UK Uni/MCA label stereo press LP.

The debut album by Fever Tree was recorded in Los Angeles during January and released in March 1968. The band originated from Houston, Texas and were signed by producers Scott & Vivian Holtzman, who also wrote many of their songs. The psychadelic guitar sounds were augmented by classical instruments and arrangements by Rob Landes, who played cello and harpsichord amongst other instruments. The band had a minor hit with San Francisco Girls and released two more albums before finally splitting up in 1970.

This is the original pressing with the yellow spiral Uni labels, the 1L 1L matrices & 1-U 1-B stampers of the very first issues.   The Robert Stace front laminated sleeve is intact & in VG+ condition, with some corner/edge wear and some laminate rubbing and several creases on the front cover and storage rubbing on the rear cover. There is also a sticker scar and a biro mark on the rear cover. The spine is intact and fully readable and the plain inner is intact & in VG+ condition.   The record is in visually EX condition, with a few faint hairlines and a couple of small needle marks/scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX condition, undamaged, clean & bright with evidence of a few spindle markings on each side.  
The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with no loud crackle or hiss and definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief background noise during the run in grooves and in a couple of the quieter passages. Overall, it is still a really great, clean listen.

The matrix nos. are; US-1046-1L mother stamper 1-U, US-1047-1L mother stamper 1-2-1. This is one of the earliest 1st pressings of the original 1968 UK stereo issue of this rare album!
