Description
This is the highly acclaimed audiophile recording by Professor Keith Johnson, Fiesta!, by the Dallas Wind Symphony, recorded with minimal microphones in Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas. The sound here is as close as the actual sound of the Meyerson as I have heard. A Dallas Symphony Orchestra musician lamented that Reference was able to capture the sound, but Delos, and everyone else that recorded in there, botched the sound (which they did). I've been there, and was there for the Pomp and Pipes concert, and these are very accurate sounding recordings.
This set was half-speed mastered by Stan Ricker. Stan can put more bass on a record than any man alive. The bass drum on this recording is crazy.
The vinyl is Mint. It has been played two or three times, at the most. It has not been cleaned, and does not need cleaning. The gate-fold jacket is Mint- with a tiny touch of wear (looks mint, mostly).
